  5. WHAT IS XDCC FILE OFFERING?:
  6.  
  7. XDCC file offering enables you to offer up to six different files to
  8. other IRC users. They can download these offerings using a special
  9. message command. The general idea of an XDCC file offering system
  10. is that you can offer and show your offerings in a channel, the
  11. people can message you and PigScript will automatically send them
  12. the requested file while you can go and do other things in other
  13. windows.

  16. HOW DO I OFFER A FILE?:

  18. First you must turn XDCC FILE OFFERING ON. To do this select the
  19. PigScript menu then scroll down to XDCC OFFER FILES and enable
  20. XDCC listings.

  22. Now you must add a pack, a pack is another name for a file offering.
  23. In the XDCC OFFER FILES menu select ADD/EDIT PACK. You will now be
  24. asked to choose which pack you are going to EDIT. Type in 1 and
  25. press enter. Select which file you wish to offer using the file
  26. selecter and click OK. Now enter a description of the file. This
  27. description will the same description that will be shown in the
  28. channels so make sure it clearly states what the file is, then press
  29. enter. You should now receive an echo simular to the one below...

  31. Pack Number 1 Will Now Offer c:\directory\yourfile.zip (description)

  33. To view your pack listing select the option VIEW PACK LISTING in the
  34. XDCC OFFER FILES menu. You should receive an echo simular to the
  35. following...

  38.  Type /msg ' <YOUR NICK> XDCC Send #N' To Receive Pack #N
  39. ò1ò <File Description> (YOURFILE.ZIP) (0 gets) (00000 bytes)

  41. As you can see from this echo, users just need to message you
  42. "XDCC Send #<pack number>" and they will be sent the appropriate
  43. file.

  45. To show your file offerings to a channel just select the Channel
  46. window, right click, scroll down to SHOW IN CHANNEL and select
  47. YOUR PACK LISTING.

  50. HOW DO I SHOW MY PACK LISTING AT A REGULAR INTERVAL?:

  52. By selecting ADVERTISE LISTING ON in the XDCC OFFER FILES menu.
  53. Follow the questions and your file offer listing will be shown in
  54. the selected channel at the selected time.
